MnSGC Scholarships and Fellowships

If you have received a scholarship please Register Here.

The MnSGC awards over $125,000 per year in scholarships and fellowships. Recipients range from university students at the freshman level to Ph.D. candidates. Most academic affiliates have their own fellowship/scholarship programs (see Affiliate Contact page for the faculty representative at your school). These programs are augmented by a Consortium-wide program administered by the U. of MN. The Consortium also uses scholarship/fellowship funds to send students every summer to NASA Academies and/or to do internships at NASA research centers around the country, where they have the opportunity to be involved in specific NASA research projects. Approximately one-half of the scholarships have been awarded to women and under-represented minorities.

Application forms and instructions for MnSGC scholarships are available. Note: Students applying for scholarships from the MnSGC must be registered full-time at one of the Affiliate Member institutions listed on the MnSGC Affiliate Contact webpage and also must be U.S. citizens. Also note that emphasis is placed on applicants who share areas of interest with NASA. Therefore, applications from potential practitioners in the health, medical, and veterinary fields are not sought unless their career goals can clearly be identified as supporting NASA's mission.
